- GINGER
Ginger is one of the most popular natural remedies for cough. Wash some ginger, cut them into slices, crush them slightly, add some water and allow to boil for a few minutes, Drink this solution four times a day for cough.
- LEMON AND HONEY
Honey has mild antibacterial properties and Lemon has vitamin C which makes them, when combined, excellent for curing cough and cold. Squeeze some lemon juice ( one whole lemon) in a cup, add a tablespoon of honey, then add hot or warm water and drink three times a day.
- SALT WATER
Gargle with salt water a few time a day, this helps alleviate the symptoms of catarrh
- WATER
YES WATER!! Dehydration can make catarrh worse, therefore take a sip of warm water throughout the day to stay hydrated, warm water also helps loosen mucus in the throat.
- GARLIC
Garlic contains antiseptic properties that could help protect the immune system against a common cold, and scientific studies have shown that the allocine contained in garlic can also act as a stimulator of white blood cells. The oil in garlic also helps open up the respiratory passages, and if taken in soup form it can help flush out all the toxins in your system and also bring down a fever as well.
